Holy True Cross (Santa Veracruz) Marchena 2025

At 10 p.m. on Holy Thursday, the doors of the Chapel of the Holy True Cross (Santa Veracruz) on San Francisco Street in Marchena opened to begin the procession of the Lord of the Holy True Cross (Señor de la Santa Veracruz) and Our Lady of Hope Crowned (Nuestra Señora de la Esperanza Coronada).

Accompanying the Lord was the Cornet and Drum Band “María Santísima de la Palma” of Marchena (commonly known as “la banda de la Borriquita”, band of the little donkey), and behind the canopy of Hope Crowned followed the Philharmonic Society of Albaida del Aljarafe.
