Feel the magic of fantasy, the epic and the majestic, mystical and spiritual awe.

Via Crucis of the Holy Burial Marchena 2025

On April 4, 2025, in the final days of Lent preceding Holy Week, the Brotherhood of the Holy Burial of Christ, Our Lady and Mother of Solitude, and the Triumph of the Holy Cross held its traditional Via Crucis with the recumbent body of Jesus Christ. This is one of the few opportunities to see up close this masterpiece by Jerónimo Hernández de Estrada, created around between 1582 and 1585, as during Holy Week it is carried in procession inside the glass coffin that forms part of its float.

Unlike my other reports, this coverage—both photos and video—was captured entirely with an iPhone 13 Pro.
