Way of the Cross – Santa Isabel School, Marchena 2026

Last Wednesday, March 25, the Santa Isabel of Hungary School, founded by the Franciscan Sisters of the Sacred Hearts, held its traditional Way of the Cross of Christ of Providence through the streets of Marchena, carried on a platform by the students of the 4th year of Secondary Education.

As this year marks the 800th anniversary of the death of Saint Francis of Assisi, one of the stations of the Way of the Cross was recited at the entrance of the chapel of the Holy Vera Cruz, on San Francisco Street, with the collaboration of the Vera Cruz brotherhood. It was a deeply moving moment, with the Lord of the Holy Vera Cruz and Our Lady of Crowned Hope in the background of the chapel.
