On November 21, 2025, the 74th edition of the Miss Universe pageant was held in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand. It was hosted by Steve Byrne, an American comedian of Korean mother, with commentary by Dayanara Torres (Miss Universe 1993, from Puerto Rico) and R’Bonney Gabriel (Miss Universe 2022, from Texas, USA, of Filipino father, who looked stunning in red and was absolutely charming whenever she spoke a bit of Spanish). The music during the introduction and the “final look” was provided by the Asian singer Jeff Satur. The 118 contestants were able to visit many emblematic and interesting places around the country. Among all the countries and regions represented in the competition, the incorporation of Palestine stands out, and she even reached the Top 30.

Epic was the evening gown competition, in which an orchestral band accompanied the contestants while performing the official Miss Universe song.

The winner was Fátima Bosch, from Mexico. She was crowned by her predecessor Victoria Kjær Theilvig, from Denmark. The First Runner-Up was Thailand.

That said, I have to take this opportunity to criticize the awful production of the pageant and the terrible management of the YouTube channel, where the broadcast was blocked in most countries (including key countries for the competition such as the United States, Mexico, the Philippines… and of course Spain), and they still haven’t uploaded the full pageant to their channel. I managed to watch it live because I found a link from someone who was screen-capturing and streaming it live from Thailand or using a VPN. And I’ve managed to find a channel that has uploaded it to YouTube, although with poor quality and a watermark, but it’s still better than what the “magnificent” Miss Universe organization can offer us, since apparently their budget doesn’t stretch any further… They have just fixed that. Thank you.
