The 12th of October is a public holiday in Spain. It is the day of Hispanic Heritage and the Virgin of Pilar, patron saint of Hispanic Heritage. It’s a day that pays homage to the relationship that unites us with our brothers and sisters in Latin America.
Many events are held across the country. In Marchena, the Virgin of Pilar goes out in procession.
