The doors of the facade of the church of Santa Clara in Marchena are packed with people anxiously waiting to see the \u201cmacaco<\/strong>\u201d again \u2013 affectionate nickname by which the Lord of Humility is known \u2013 three years after his last procession<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The brotherhood of Our Father and Lord of Humility and Patience and Our Lady of Sorrows<\/strong>, founded in 1820<\/strong> in the Convent of San Francisco and moved in 1846 to its current canonical headquarters in the Convent of Santa Clara<\/strong>, is the only procession of Holy Wednesday<\/strong> and the second of Holy Week in Marchena.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the Proclamation of the Arrest<\/strong>, a dramatization of the Gospel passage of the Passion of Christ of the same name, and escorted by the Roman Centuria<\/strong>, the Lord of Humility marches through the streets of Marchena, followed by the canopy of Our Lady of Sorrows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
